CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginning Ballerinas: (Girls Ages 3-4)
This class is based on a fun, well-organized atmosphere. Dancers will learn many skills to help their physical development and coordination. Using age-appropriate songs and dances, this will provide a nurturing, stimulating, yet structured classroom specifically designed for this age. The class consists of a blend of song and dance, pre-ballet and tumbling.

Intermediate 1: (Girls Ages 5-6)
Dancers will enjoy learning basics and fundamentals in this introduction to ballet/tap combination class. This class will introduce ballet by incorporating basic terminology with the positions of the feet, hands and body. We will also introduce tap through basic tap steps with music so children can develop a sense of rhythm and learn to count music while dancing at the same time.

Intermediates 2 and 3: (Girls Ages 7-9 and 10-12)
This is a combination class including both ballet and tap. Ballet gives dancers a solid technical base with which to learn many other forms of dance. It improves grace, coordination and confidence. Tap is a great way to improve rhythm, musicality and coordination. Dancers will practice rhythmic patterns and combinations with tap shoes. The main goal is to develop a positive attitude toward dance while building a foundation of strength, grace, and self-expression.

Teen Dance: (Girls Ages 13-17)
This is a combination class for teens. Teen dance will combine jazz, ballet, tap, persian, and modern techniques! Enjoy the opportunity to have fun and grow as a dancer in this Teen Dance class!

Mommy and Me: (children ages 18 months to 3 years with their mother)
Share those special smiles and hugs in our class designed especially for the mother and toddler. Songs and exercises based on dance and gymnastics fundamentals – specifically designed for this age group, incorporating skills and rhythm exercises. 

Adult Tap: (Women Ages 18 and up)
Excited about dance but not quite sure if it's for you? Come to Adult Tap! Tapping is a great way to relax, have fun, make friends, exercise and keep yourself challenged! At Adult Tap we focus on the beginning skills of tap dancing and after a short time, you're making music with your feet. This class is for beginners and requires no previous dance experience.  

Exercise for Healthy Women: (Women Ages 20 and up)
This class will focus on simple, basic exercises to help women become more healthy. Come enjoy the opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy being with other ladies while we work on getting in shape! 

Yoga: (Women ages 18 and up)
Many people think that yoga is just stretching. But while stretching is certainly involved, yoga is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits. This class will be offered twice a week. If you enroll in Yoga you are free to come to either class once or twice a week.
